Papyrus of Ani

Papyrus of Ani

by Romain Bertheau.

In this four pieces, intervals are precisely tuned, played slowly at subtle volumes to generate a multitude of differences and combinations of sounds, phasing, beats and auditory illusions. After a certain playing time, high frequencies and harmonics appear and evolve while nothing is mechanically activated. It may suggest a full, dense and vibrant sound, but may indicate a sound that loses its fundamental. A sound that melts into the intensity of the opacity, and at the same time one perceives an atmospheric becoming.
