The film Phenomena (1985) follows a young American teenage girl named Jennifer Corvino (Jennifer Connelly), who attends a Swiss boarding school, which is being stalked by a serial killer, who kills many young teenage girls attending the school. With the help of Dr. John McGregor (Donald Pleasence), a local entomologist, she discovers she has a special power: she can communicate with insects. To finally put the killer to an end, she must use these powers to pursue and catch the killer.

Phenomena is a 1985 Italian giallo film produced and directed by Dario Argento, who co-wrote the screenplay with Franco Ferrini.
