The Loud Room
Video by E*Rock taken from his latest tape release ‘The Great Underground Empire‘ out on Gnar Tapes.
The Great Underground Empire is a conceptual synth album based off an early text adventure game developed in 1979. It was an exploration of “the ruins of an ancient empire lying far underground” with no music or graphics, just glowing text on a black screen. The music serves as a virtual soundtrack performed almost exclusively on a Prophet 600 and Juno 60 synthesizers which were released about the same time.
Grapefruit
Grapefruit is the moniker of a Portland, Oregon synth composer, C. Salas-Humara, where we find him creating lush percolating brain cinema, analog computer dreamscapes, and progressive sci-fi psychedelia.
Out digitally on AudioDregs and as cassette release on Field Hymns.
Regular Music
This release by Regular Music on Audiodregs exists as a small, battery-operated custom sound chip, placed inside a CD digipak with speaker and hand numbered fold-out insert. The sound module is activated when the packaging is opened. No band in their right mind would try to release their music with an object that costs so much money and takes so long to assemble.
The music has been mangled beyond recognition; its sound quality crushed to fit onto an 8-bit chip, compressed from a 10 minute composition into a 30 second blast, and all bass lost due to the size of the speaker. The music object can still be valid beyond its use as vessel if it can capture your imagination. [column class=’column2′]
ROTFLOL
Visuals & Musik von Jacob Ciocci alias ROTFLOL gibts jetzt als DVD/VINYL/MP3 Dreierpack bei AudioDregs.
paperrad collective
