As we were speking of Gaspar Noé in the previous post, it happens he teamed up with Animal Collective to create the video for their track ‘Applesauce’ taken from their recent album Centipede Hz.
Berlin Super 80

Very large green triangles
The EP and the album have the same conceptual basis: telepathy. For the past four years the band have been conducting parapsychological experiments based upon the classic Ganzfeld (“total field”) experiment, but with a twist: instead of sending and receiving simple graphic patterns, test subjects were put into a state of sensory deprivation by covering their eyes and listening to white noise on headphones, and then Matmos member Drew Daniel attempted to transmit “the concept of the new Matmos record” directly into their minds. [column class=’column2′]Matmos will release The Ganzfeld EP October 16 on Thrill Jockey.
Awesome Tapes from Africa
This is music you won’t easily find anywhere else—except, perhaps in its region of origin. But if you are an artist/etc and wish for me to remove your music, email me.
Music From Saharan Cellphones
Tani Siiutthai – I’m very glad
Oh, I’m very glad.
I have a wife that is stunning
My wife tells me I’m a good worker
In three months I’m home only once, because I can make a lot of money
I’m glad, there’s nobody else glad like me.
We were only married for four months, and there’s a baby
My daughter is beautiful with blond hair and big eyes
I ask myself, what did I do to get a daughter like this?
After three months my wife goes away for work
I ask myself, why did she take our daughter with her?
When they got back, my daughter looked fatter
Now she only eats bread and omlettes.
After three months my wife and daughter went away again
When they got back my daughter was so smart
She could speak English “food fish for fire”
How did we get such a smart daughter?
Oh, I’m very glad.
My wife brought a foreign friend to visit us
My wife is such a good wife, she makes new friends
Oh, I’m very glad…
