The Biz never sleeps

Biz Markie’s second album arrives as hip-hop’s comedy wing shifts from novelty to something weirder—those beatboxing interludes and talk-box antics now sound less like party tricks and more like someone genuinely uninterested in rapping the way everyone else does. Production-wise it’s all bright sampled horns and locked-in drums, the kind of thing that sounds corny until you realize it’s actually got character. Basically what happens when a personality-first artist gets a proper budget and decides not to straighten up.

The Biz Never Sleeps is the second studio album by Biz Markie.
It was released on October 10, 1989.
